Is it right to put your infants and toddlers in designer baby clothes?
Designer clothes have fulfilled almost all nitches. Plus size designer clothes are in high demand and discount designer clothes are always availabble for bargain shoppers. Those niches are completely understandable.
However are designer baby clothes a bit extravagant for babies that grow out of their clothes at a quick rate? Is it wasteful to spend tens and sometimes hundreds of dollars on a baby's outfit? Let's start with the root of the trend. For children like the Jolie-Pitt clan or Suri Cruise, it's quite understandable why they would constantly be decked out in designer baby clothes.
First off, they're constantly in the limelight. If, I were their parents, I too would want my children to put their best foot forward. Secondly, those families are wealthy enough to afford three, four, sometimes five digit priced outfits.
According to reports, Katie Kate Holmes spent upwards $11,000 USD for little Suri. Kate had custom tailored outfits created for Suri. For a girl who has everything, from designer baby clothes, such as Burbury dresses, it's only reasonable for her to move upwards to couture, right?
Does that mean we have to follow suit? I hope not. Why purchase something extravagant for a child when they're only going to grow out of it in a matter of weeks? Let's hope designer baby clothes is just a quick fad.
