Measuring for Plus Size Designer Clothes
It can be frustrating to spend time selecting and purchasing your plus size designer clothes only to find out they do not fit properly. With so many of us now purchasing online these days, your correct measurements are vital. Buying plus size designer clothes can be very expensive to say the least. When I first started buying plus size designer clothes on line I ended up being very disappointed with the fit. I decided to do some research to be able to make better choices. I found these basic measuring tips and have not been disappointed with my plus size designer clothes buys since. Bust: Keep your bra on but take your clothes off. Measure around the fullest part of bust and under the arms. Make sure the tape stays straight across your back.
Waist: In a relaxed position, measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist. Do not suck in your tummy. Keep the tape a little snug, but make sure you are still comfortable.
Hips: With your legs and feet together, measure around the fullest part of your hips. Again snug but comfortable.
Inseam: The best way is to just use a pair of your own pants that fit you well, lay them flat with the front and back creases together. Measure from crotch seam to bottom of the leg hem along the inside seam.
Sleeve: Bend the elbow and measure from the center of the back of the neck to the elbow then from the elbow down to the wrist.
